Ezy-FLASH is a hardware device that stores ROM images (programs) that can be programmed into supported vehicle’s ECU’s.  After safely storing the vehicle’s initial ROM (usually the factory program) for future use, the Ezy-FLASH programs into the factory ECU through the ODB II port.

Ezy-FLASH is supplied with three programs that optimise boost, fuel and ignition curves.  It features memory storage for up to 20 ROM banks.  With Ezy-FLASH you can set up ROM sets for every possible modification, fuel type or driving condition.

The Ezy-FLASH is accompanied with free Tune Manager Software to enable maximum use of the product features.  These include: the review of data logs, loading ROMs into the Ezy-FLASH and installation of firmware upgrades via the internet when new releases become available.

Ezy-FLASH data logs up to 33 parameters on the Mitsubishi EVO and has up to 10Mb of internal storage for data logging.  Tune Manager allows you to download and assess your logs.  It also features real-time Live Data display of RPM, knock sum, load and injector duty cycle. 

Ezy-FLASH has the know-how to read and clear your vehicle’s Diagnostic Trouble Codes. This takes the guess work out of vehicle diagnosis.
 
The Ezy-FLASH unit comes with Tune Manager Software, programming cables, USB cable and three pre-loaded programs.  Suits the Mitsubishi EVO VII / VIII / IX with standard or modified exhaust.  Under development and coming soon is the Ezy-FLASH for Subaru EJ20 and EJ25.

Features

Flash Technology

The Ezy-FLASH incorporates the latest technology in engine management reprogramming by reflashing the factory ECU.  This allows for non-invasive and easily reversible program upgrades.

Performance Programs

The Ezy-FLASH offers the end user the freedom to choose between multiple ROMs and reflash their desired ROM into their car themselves.  Response Performance Chips provide the Ezy-FLASH with at least 3 preset ROMs to suit a standard vehicle or a modified exhaust system. Custom tune the car to create suitable ROMs then upload the new ROMs into the Ezy-FLASH using Tune Manager software.  With memory space within the Ezy-FLASH for up to 20 ROM banks, each holding up to 10 ROMs each, you’ll have plenty of space to store as many custom tunes as you like.

Data Logging

Ezy-FLASH is capable of reading parameter data from compatible vehicles using the OBDII diagnostic port.  Data logging mode can be entered while the vehicle is running and this data can be presented in 2 ways:

In real-time (Live Data Display)
Saved for later analysis (High-Speed Logging)
Live Data Display presents 4 commonly used variables on the Ezy-FLASH simultaneously and are displayed on the LCD screen:

RPM;
Load
Knock Sum
Injector duty cycle
High-Speed logging saves a pre-selected group of parameters to memory as quickly as possible.  This data can be analysed by downloading the data from the Ezy-FLASH to a PC using Tune Manager Software.

Diagnosis

Utilising the ODB II connector, Ezy-FLASH can read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes.  This is especially helpful in identifying faults within the factory system or clearing recurring ‘Check Engine’ light setting within the vehicle.

Ezy-FLASH offers the facility to upgrade the factory engine management system without the need to physically or permanently install a programming device on the vehicle.  This is beneficial for consumers that like their vehicle to appear standard or are not interested in modifying the vehicle permanently.  With Ezy-FLASH saving the initial ROM, this gives the consumer freedom to revert to the previous state of programming at any time.

Once a modified ROM is flashed into the vehicle, the Ezy-FLASH will only reflash that specific car.  However the Data logging and Diagnostic functions will work on any compatible vehicle.

By uploading alternative ROMs into the Ezy-FLASH using Tune Manager, we can not only provide you with a more precise custom tune but it also gives you the option to make you own changes.
