Most drivers want to improve their vehicles, not transform it and although we do get involved with serious performance upgrades (more of which further on) the vast majority of customers start by taking the following route.

Of course a Response Chip is nearly always the starting point for upgrades costing between £399-£1500 followed by a Pipercross induction kit which improves engine response and can give anywhere from 3-15 bhp (and more) ..cost ranges from £65-175.00 plus vat and fitting. ( fitting kits may be required)

If your car is turbo charged then a Group A dump valve can be fitted...it sounds great, reduces turbo lag and again cost is minimal at £90-155.00 plus vat and fitting (fitting kits may be required). In addition turbo cars respond well to having a Group A Actuator fitted which controls boost pressure. We find that this greatly improves torque through the RPM range and holds boost levels right through to the red line. Cost £105-165.00 plus vat and fitting.

The next step is usually the fitment of a full stainless exhaust system...cost usually in the £350-1000.00 plus vat bracket plus fitting...again power and response (torque) are very noticeable benefits apart from an improvement in the cars visual appeal (some vehicles can see improvements of 30 bhp+!

On the subject of visual appeal why not have your discs cross drilled.( normally £35-40.00 plus vat and fitting per corner) If they are in good condition we remove them, cross drill them and re-fit them normally with uprated pads, the rear brake bias if adjustable is re-set improving rear brake participation. The brakes look fantastic and braking enters a new domain. Cost on most vehicles ranges between £300-400 plus vat...and saves you a fortune as you are not purchasing new discs.

Although covered in another section having your injectors cleaned can, on some cars give improvements comparable with a Superchip! Cost is only £99.00 plus vat and if the vehicle has done a few miles should really be your starting point in the performance upgrade list.
