3 2010+ 2.0 16v (non turbo)
The Single Exit 60mm Exhaust for the 2010 Mazda 3 Sedan and Hatchback in 2.0L trim is now available.
Featuring Dual Resonators, a slip fit compression connection to the aft end of the catalytic converter on the factory exhaust the system, and picks up all of the stock hanger locations. The single tailpipe design eliminates the large ~25 Lb factory tailpipe muffler and features a non-resonated CorkSport badged dual wall 90mm Exhaust Tip.
As a configurable option, a 60mm racepipe with or without high flow catalytic converter is available that attaches between the factory header downpipe flange and the front compression fitting of the cat-back portion of the exhaust system.
This system is available with a sports cat for an additional £299 plus vat
As with all of our Power Series Exhaust Systems, the system features TIG welded mandrel bent and polished T304 Stainless Steel components. Installation of the cat back system require cutting your factory exhaust system after the second catalyst. The race pipe versions of the exhaust are bolt on with no cutting required.
Utilizing the single exit exhaust and the Short Ram Intake, we went from a baseline of 118hp/110lbft of torque to a respectable 135hp and 123lbft of torque at the wheels. The 2.0L results are moderate at the bottom end (with around a 4-5hp/tq gain) below 4000rpm with the majority of the power coming on rapidly at around 4500rpm and held steadily to the 7000rpm redline. This really shows how constrained the stock system was for the smaller 2.0L engine.
The system sounds great - with a very mild but noticable difference at cruise and idle and a distinctive bark at wide open throttle and free rev.
